does anyone know how deep a 4″ lolly column has to go in the ground,and what size footing should be below it.The column will be installed in my basement 18″ from an existing lolly to help take some of the load from above wall….Thanks… Ray.

It doesn't have to go any deeper since it is being installed in your basement. The "DEEPER" part has to do with getting the base below the frost line, so you are already below that.
Now what youhave to do is cut / break a hole about 2' x 2' thru your slab, and then excavate below that to UNDISTURBED earth, then you pour your footing on that, let it cure for about 7 days, set your lally column and pour a finished patch around it.
The ACTUAL size of the footing DEPENDS on the bearing capacity of your soil, but most lally column footings are about 2x2 by 10" deep. If you have a problem you are trying to correct, you may want to consult an Engineer so you know what load your new column is going to support.
