Installing flooring on concrete slab
I am going to install about 900sf of 3/8″ solid (laminated) bamboo flooring over an older concrete slab. The sales guys in El Paso (Lumber Liquidators) are trying to sell me another $900 worth of vapor barrier in addition to the glue, whereas a different branch of the same dealer in Albuquerque said I didn’t need it. I am in southern NM desert with not much rain, way above water table in my location, etc. Should I go with a different adhesive that claims to be a moisture barrier as well or just use the Bostik’s Best Adhesive alone? Thanks.

To answer this question you should contact the mfg. of the flooring and follow their recomendations for your particular application. Find ouy about warranties, how to keep them vs. what voids them. This way you will avoid the opinions of overly ambitious sales personel or at least get confirmation.
