Looking at installing 2 48″ French Doors. Because of the size I can not imagine a person passing through a single door, thus it would seem the doors will always need to be open, or the user will have to open and flip to get both doors, etc.
Here’s my question: Anyone ever install french doors with bullet catches at the top, or even possibly magnet catches with dummy knobs? Would seem to be much easier.
Thoughts?

Bill, have done the ball catches for a customer who didn't want to open/close doors often. She is satisfied with the ball catches but be warned that to get them tight enough to not rattle, you end up with a stiff close or open. Especially at season change. The knobs she has are double dummy. Not sure how you would get a magnet catch to work.
