*TIP: If you can't afford cc's labor rates, travel and per deim expenses, go to the local library and find a book or two with both written and pictorial instructions. This subject is a bit too lengthy to cover in this forum. Use patience and strive to obtain satisfaction from a job well done rather than setting records on the minimum amount of time spent.SHORTCUT: None known... If you're doing quality work, avoid the "pre-hung/split-jamb/casing pre-applied" doors sold at home centers. Pre-hung doors in solid jambs are OK, but apply the casing separately. You'll have the opportunity to easily shim the jambs and then apply the casing of your choice with tight miters.Good luck, Steve
