Thanks in advance for your input,
I have a sun room that I’m going to insulation and turn into a 4 season room. I live right outside of Boston, so you know what the climate is like up in the Northeast of the US. The sun room, like the rest of the house sits on a slab. The attachment shows what I currently have and what I would like to do. I need to raise the sub floor so that it is on the same level as the adjacent rooms. I show two option in the drawing. Which option would you recommend. Will the air gap be beneficial or not?
Thanks again,

I'm not a homebuilder (I'm more of a carpenter), so keep that in mind, but I'd go with option 1. (I assume you have some flashing to go on top of the slab?)
I would put down a continuous layer of 3 inch XPS over the existing floor and go from there. (skip the second layer of sleepers)
This assumes that the current floor does not have any moisture issues. If it does, you might be better to go to the slab and start over.
