insulating old masonry walls

I am re-insulatng a solid masonry home in chicago.  There are 3/4″ furring strips on the exterior walls.  I would like suggestions for his project.  the drywall has been stripped and th current insulation is 3/4″ unfaced fiberglass with a plastic vapor barrier.
