Insulating Radiant floor slab on grade
We are designing a cottage in Midland, Ontario, Canada and are trying to find the best solution for insulating a slab-on-grade with radiant floor heating. The cottage is 22’x42′.
Would using an ICF system be beneficial or a waste of money?

ICF's are beneficial for several reasons.

Going to work now, back later, suggest using advanced search for 'insulating radiant floor'.
I'm interested to hear the responses to this one.

I would recommend the shallow frost-protected foundation. It requires little excavation and little concrete. It has been in use in northern Europe, northern Canada and Alaska for 40 years and is accepted by the International Residential Code.
