We are working on a major addition to an old, 100 year +, house. Insulating the new part is no problem. The owner would also like to insulate the walls of the original building. He has suggested blown cellulose. Should this be done? What about moisture due to the open nature of the lap siding and beaded board walls? (We’re in Georgia and high humidity is just a fact of life) Are there any other options that wouldn’t require removal of the siding or wall boards?
Thanks for the help.
