I hired a contractor to paint the interior of a condo. He said he planned to spray paint the walls. Is that standard for pro interior painting, for a space which is lived in, with furniture and personal property everywhere? That seems like a great way to get paint mist all over everything.

I’ve only seen spray follow my jobs when new construction. That’s over 50 yrs.
Maybe I’m backward.
It can be done, but I think that, with all the time needed on prep work, it'd be faster to just spread dropcloths and roll on the paint.
