*In my area (Southeast Texas) it is available at Lowe's (GOD I hate that place). It is available in 3/4", 1 1/2", 3", 6", 12", and 24". You could get the 3" and trim it after applying. I don't have a brand name in front of me, and they keep changing suppliers anyway. If they don't have it in stock, they could probably order it. A mail order company called Leichtung carries the stuff also. I don't have a book in front of me. Maybe someone else can give phone # or address.James

*jb,Yeah, we can locally get mahogany, plain sawn oak, ash, birch, etc., most of the common woods in 2" tape. But no quarter sawn white oak. In the past we have used veneer and stich witch. But I was hoping to find it commercially produced.I'll keep looking.Ed. Williams

*Hi GACC,In my area (Pittsburgh, Pa) our local lumber yard stocks a product called BAND-IT. I buy it in rolls of 2 inch wide X 8 feet long for $7.50 What I buy is quarter sawn Red Oak, but I believe they also make this product in White Oak. Looking at the roll here in front of me, all it says is that this product is American Made by the Cloverdale Company. It does not list an address or phone # with this message. Kinda strange, huh? Well, anyway, maybe the boys at your local lumber yard have heard of this brand or perhaps someone else can find you a phone # to go along with this name. This stuff is real hardwood veneer that irons on. I've had good results with it. Good luck in your search,Davo
