Hey, how did the small miter saw work out? Do you like it and is it accurate? Thanks. DanT

like it so much I was using it to chop framing last week.
The circle saw was buried in the van..the little chop was right at the side door.....easy choice!
For accurate cuts...I mark a full cut line and push the blade to it.....haven't used it on anything that requires a great deal of accuracy. Just small trim...most of which got coped.
And the framing.
I love carrying that little thing thru the houses. It's become popular when I work with my buddies.....they'll steal it off to other rooms when I'm not using it.
Gte a good blade..I found a Freud at Sears......nice "lotsa-teeth" combo blade. Has cut paint grade trim just fine...and went thru the 2x4's OK too.
Over all......a good buy.
Gotta keep an eye on the degree setting though..with no handle to tighten and clamp down.....it'll move a degree or two if bumped hard enough. Just has a detent to hold her at 0.

Jeff,
Just curious, why the "full cut line"? Is it not accurate enough when at the 0° detent?
I've been thinking about gettin' one for myself for some time.

guess it depends how accurate you want.
There's a bit of flex in the arm. The detent holds ok...but if you lean across...or happen to pull to one side or the other...the blade will make the cut about 1/2 degree off.
Just a little flex...not even lose or a wiggle...
but when I want dead on cuts...I mark a full line to be safe.
When I want a lot of dead on cuts...I dig out the DeWalt.
