I have a home that is 70 years old with a poured in place concrete basement. One wall leaks due to a crack in the foundation. excavating outside the wall in order to waterproof is out of the question physically and economically.
What can I do from inside to stop the ground water from coming into the basement? Is there a product that can be injected into the crack using an air compressor to fill the void? Any ideas or leads?
thank you, kent

Start with the easy stuff: 10' downspout extensions and positive grading away from the house.
There are epoxy crack fillers that might do the job, but they should used done by trained tradesmen, IMHO.
Or, maybe it can be diy: http://visitors.handymanclub.com/handy_mag/article_03.asp

By patching cracks, you're fixings symptoms, not the problem.
As Bob Walker suggested, get the ground water away first. Then patching the cracks might have *some* hope of success.
To fix it permenantly, you migth have to excavate outside.
The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing if you can fake that, you've got it made.
