I recently had built a shop with a tongue and groove wooden floor over a full basement. Area is appoximatley 37 by 27. The flooring has dried and has become an irregular surface because shrinkage and cupping. I would like to level the surface without sanding. I researched some products and found some self leveling cement based compounds from DAP, 80P and 60P. Both sound promising but I don’t know of anyone who has experience with either one. Has anyone used either product and how much trouble are they to use

Whoa there Thomas,
You have a humidity problem to start and you want to use a wet floor leveler on top?
Did you not do a moisture test first on your basement before starting this project and did you install a vb under this floor of yours?
Gabe
*Thomas-I'm with Gabe on this one. I think you might be headed down the wrong path...Sounds like moisture from the slab swelling the bottoms of the boards causing cupping. using a leveler without addressing the cause will just make for a bigger mess to deal with down the road.Out of curiousity, what was your flooring material? How is it installed...on sleepers...over what type of vapor barrier?
*good old english...wen i red that i thot he was talking about the first floor.. as in 7 to 8 feet above the basement floor..so.. he may in fact have a humidity problem.. which he should investigate..as to the floor leveling ? i have nenver used either product.. what will the finish floor be ?b but hey , whadda i no ?
*Yep, thats the way I took it too Mike, read it again and I guess it could go either way.
