Light weight MDF

The local hardwood lumber yard had light weight MDF for about twice the cost of regular MDF and the weight was about half (1/2″ – 4 x 8 sheets). Any one have experiance with this materail.

    MDF is medium density fiberboard. LDF is low density fiberboard.

    Light MDF is a misnomer. The manufacturer should have data sheets.

      *I use it for paint grade door panels. It sands nice but does chip easy. Paints great.
