Has anyone out there had any experience with liquid vinyl a.k.a. liquid siding?
Evidently there is just one distributor (and one supplier?).
They wanted $8,000 to do my 956 sq.ft. house; I thought that a mite steep.

Mary,
What's liquid siding? I've never heard of it.
Is the 956 sq ft your floor area or the area of exterior wall to be sided? The square footage of wall to be sided is what counts.
I'm guessing the 956 sq. ft. number is your floor area. It doesn't mean a lot (since I am making lots of guesses), but I have no trouble imagining a $4,000 price to put vinyl on your house.
But...what are the dimensions of the house? Are there gables and how high? How much overhang at the soffits? What siding is there now? and is it coming off? Oh yeah, and what is liquid vinyl/siding??? Sounds expensive.

I saw a website the other day with an "elastomeric stucco" coating. I thought it interesting but unfortunately my browser was acting up and didn't save the link. Just for comparison, many of the elastomeric roof coatings I've been seeing run $50-200 per 5 gallons, and each gallon will cover approximately 40-50 sq feet.
You didn't say where you're at; there's a website that you might want to search for with "NuKote" that has elastomeric coatings as well.
