What company is that?
My understanding is the LS1221 is a newer version of the LS1220 (which I have) minus a few features- soft start and electronic motor control. I'd think it would be a good machine, hopefully some actual 1221 owners will chime in. I really like my LS1220. Fwiw, in the US Makita is offering a $75 rebate on the LS1221. Tool Crib/Amazon has the LS1221 for $224.99 after the rebate plus $25 off for orders over $199- less than $200 final cost for this saw.

Dont know about the LS1221.I just bought the smaller LS1013,with the same soft start motor, LOVE IT. I have been using the 12" Dewalt for the last few years, but this new Makita has so far been a nice change.
