Bought a stone outdoor table and (duh!) didn’t seal it. The kids went to town on some magic marker drawings, they bled through, and now it won’t come out. Tried all the basics (soft scrub, magic eraser, etc.)
Acetone is next (nail polish remover). Any more suggestions? And what should I seal it with?
Thanks!

plain bleach.
What kind of stone is it?
Is it rough or polished?
Not that I'll know the answer anyhow.
Rubbing alcohol.
Acetone more likely to make it spread / bleed deeper into the stone.
What kind of stone?

With any kind of solvent blotting it or using a poltice is need to draw it out.I am not sure, but I am thinking denatured alcholo and not rubing..

A-holes. Hey every group has to have one. And I have been elected to be the one. I should make that my tagline.
Denatured is what I keep all the time for simple cleanups like this. Rubbing is what most folks have in the house all the time.Is there a difference other than the label?

"Is there a difference other than the label?"Yes, no, maybe!Don't you like a simple answer. In the US Isopropyl is rubbing alcohol. But from Wikipedia it is also a generic term that can include denatured ethyl..

BK,
Acetone-whiting poltice works on marble. Make a slurry, spread it on and cover with paper towel as a wick.
