I want to use some new 5V crimp galv sheet metal panels inside the house, and I want them to look a little aged, not new and shiny. How would you do that?

Just last year i did a house for a lady and we did one zinc plated counter. We bought a brand new piece of zinc and rubbed on muratic acid. The result was really cool at first it turned the zinc black but as we rubbed it off it really looked nice and aged. Don't forget to do this outside with a respirator and rubber gloves. It should work on galvanized panels also, i hope. KJELL
Almost any mild acid will eat the galvinizing enough to produce a tarnished finish.
Vinegar, Lemon juice etc. will all work , less potent the muriatic and less dangerous.
