I’m going to do my first metal framing job: breaking up an interior large room into smaller rooms. Want to use metal studs so I don’t have to cope with bent wooden studs during drywalling. I think that there was a “recent” article on metal framing in either FHB or JLC, but I can’t (of course) find it, now that I need it.
Anyone have a better memory than me as to where to find it?
Thanks for help

MY FHB library is incomplete, but I am finishing up some metal work in our home's basement. Used a book from the library---"Commercial Metal Stud Framing" was, I think, the title. Lots more info than I needed, but it did have a bunch of tips and full of pictures on how they do commercial jobs.
Good luck.

Try the USG web site.

I thought that there was an article on JCLonline, but I did a search over there and while there were several articles, none was what I was thinking of. Since they now charge money to look at old articles, I didn't check any of them over.
There are a number of books on the subject. Go to http://www.amazon.com and search for books on "steel framing" - you should get a dozen or so. None of these are particularly cheap, however.
