Am re-roofing Grandfather’s ca 1918 barn. Used sawn junior shingles originally on open decking. Am using 1/2″ shakes since I got a deal and looks good. I’m at point of looking for replacement metal ridge and corner flashing which I can not find locally. Original look is a fancy ridge with raised “fins” with a punched decorative hole in it that went down the center ridge. The old is not all salvagable and I’m at a loss to find anything even remotely resembling it. Also, instead of the double corners that are currently in use, there were metal formed sections that included a “knuckle” in the center that fit over the overlap. These are also not all salvagable and wouldn’t work anyway owing to the larger setback of the shakes as opposed to the old shingles.
Anybody have suggstions/knowledge of where to find these? I’m in far rural western KS (unfortunately for such searches) in an area far removed from any city of any size. Thanks for any help…

You're probably gonna have to get those items custom fabricated. You may be able to get it done locally, but if not, I can give you a quote if you give me some pictures. Good Luck.
I'm pretty sure I can get the corner pieces fabricated locally as they simply need a press/mold. If all else fails, I think I can make a mold and use the shop press myself for them.
The center ridge is a horse of another color, however. I was hoping someone here would know of a supplier of such Victorian/similar style/age pieces--I'm sure there must be suppliers for restorations, etc., I just don't have any access or knowledge of who/where they are (I know for the most part they'll be in the larger cities, of course, which are not near here... :) )
Do you know of supplier/manufacturer for even the straight old-style metal ridge? I can't even get the local lumber yard/building supply to come up with it.
For the ridge, see http://www.wfnorman.com/roofing.htm
Jamie, thatsa' wunnerful... :) The "Style A" ridge cresting looks nearly if not identical to what was used on the house and barn.
Also, I didn't know what their official name is but the hip shingle is the needed piece for the corners on the cupola base and roof....I'll contact them Monday.
(Cheap it isn't, is it??? Of course, I already knew that and have probably $10k invested so far anyway so this is just another small drop. Copper sure would look nice, wouldn't it? :) )
The site listed above may have plain ridge roll. Also check this out:
