Guy doesn’t want to spend the 5grand estimate the plumbers left to replace the main stack so I get to try my hand at prepping it to run another 10 or so anyhow I figger.
Someone had drilled a half dollar size hole in it years gone by and cracks have appeared around it.
It’s obvious the material is past it’s life expectancy but I’m looking for ways to try to milk it a while longer.
I know you pros will say replace it and that’s expected so ok.
Now, is there a recommended epoxy that might work better than others on the cracks around the saddle patch?

why is it 5 grand to replace it, is thta just the plumbing or does that include repairs to walls etc.?
How tall is it and where is the whole you need to repair, towards the top, or at the base?
Towards the base and price included a roughin for lav, shower and toilet but not so consuming.
The hole of course is in the basement with the weight of about 15 ft of cast above it before it turns to abs from a later fix sometime in the past.
I suppose it would warrant a pic for technical help but seemed an epoxy would suffice for some added years but whadda iknow
I'll be removing an old patch and opening the chase above up to get a better feel of what is going on.
Would be daring to post a pic of this mess tho'.
Can you access the affected area so you can cut it out and fernco a piece of PVC in?
