Yes, I read the damn archives. Anyway, I loaned my Makita hammer drill and it is apparently just about used up, so I’m looking for a new one. Can’t find a Walter in town (are they Metabo now?), so I’m looking at the Milwaukee and the Bosch 1194; similar size and specs, same price range (but there is a Milwaukee in town, have to order a Bosch). I don’t need an SDS, I just do a couple of dozen tapcons a year and assorted other light duties, and the rest of the time use it for holesaws (not interested in cordless). I wouldn’t mind trying the milwaukee, I don’t have any red tools, but there was a comment in the archives about poor performance from recent Milwaukee corded drills, so, does anyone have one?
