I have a Milwaukee 10″ SCMCS. About 10 years old – everything still works great but it’s been dropped a few times and the sliding rails are bent. It’s hard to see with the naked eye but it does affect the sliding action some. I’ve tried polishing the rails and greasing them which helps but I’d like to replace the rails. My local Milwaukee service center wants $250 – $300 for both rails. Any thoughts on cheaper Milwaukee parts? I’m also considering having a machine shop duplicate the rails with the hope it would be cheaper (although more of a headache for me).

I had this exact same problem. I ended up giving it to an electrician friend of mine who could work the "variations" in the fence. I turned around and bot the 10 Bosch CSMS and a DeWalt 703 chop saw for on site ease of use. Best thing I ever did. That was 4 years ago, but I don't regret it for a second. And I own a lot of Milwaukee tools...just not happy with that chop saw.

Might try e-bay for a used one. If the price was right you gets a lot of spare parts for the money.
