What do you all think of mixing wood types from doors to windows to trim. I found some great looking solid oak doors for a reasonable price. I have Cherry cabinets in the kirchen and cherry flooring in the dining room. The windows I can paint or stain. I don’t know what it will look like mixing oak doors with pine window cladding and staining the oak trim cherry color. Do you all mix the trim type and color from room to room? Thanks.

I usually stick with one type room to room, if possible (not always possible due to availability/cost of custom moldings). That said, if this is your house, the first person to ask is SWMBO (your wife/GF/SO). If this is for a client, they should make the decision, although on occaision I've been told by the home owners that they don't really care, so it looks like a matter of preference.
I did a kitchen in hickory a few years back, framed a pass-through above the sink in hickory, just like the cabinets, hickory jambs and custom casing. On the other side of the pass-through was a sunroom lined with cedar, so the casing on that side was cedar 1x3 flat stock. The doors in the kitchen were painted white. It all looked fine. Go with what you like.
I think you should stay with same animal it looks so much more finished that way. mixing things is fun and all but people who are looking to buy are looking for the finished home thing. just my 2 cents
