‘nuther question I didn’t have an answer to (no shortage of them really). Dude asked me about how to put in an outdoor outlet on his mobile home. We had been talking about tools, and he mentioned how nice it would be to have a 30amp and a 20 amp outlet on the south side of his trailer (mobile home). He has a 15 amp outlet on the north side, but doesn’t use it.
I didn’t know the answer, so just gave him the name of an electrican that has done work for me in the past (and whom I know is willing to work on mh’s), but my brain was still working on it….
If you put two new breakers in the box, and then ran the wires straight down and under the belly of the mh (say in a metal conduit) and then just mount the outlet recepticle just above the skirting (if you can find something to screw into). I’m not sure how you’d affix the conduit under the belly… and actually I’m not sure that it wouldn’t violate multiple codes. Which is why I told him to contact an electrician… but it is a minor puzzle and my brain keeps wanting to play with it.
