We just built a home in Cincinnati and have noticed moisture inside of the vapor barrier along portions of the stud wall (above grade) of our walkout basement. This occurs during periods of high outside temperature and high humidity (90+ degrees with 70%+ humidity).
Going from the outside in, the exterior is brick, then Tyvek, then unkraft insulation, then a plastic vapor barrier stapled to the studs.
This occurs only on the southern exposure walls and not all 16″ cavities have the problem.
What is wrong and what can be done to fix the problem? Any and all help is appreciated!
