Does anyone have guidence for how long I can leave 30# felt exposed to the California sun before it becomes ineffective behind my soon (I hope) to be applied cedar sidewall shingles.
Tyvek advertises 120 days before UV damage, but what about old trusty felt? How long till too much “cooks off.” Felts already up, and I’m slow at shingling. Should I cover it (the felt) with a tarp or plastic if It’s going to be up for a couple of months before the finished shingles are applied?

Thanks for the input. Guess I can stop stressing over it a bit and just enjoy the shingling process - nice pre-stained one's from Michigan Pre-Stain. They're going to look great!
