I am looking to replace my Senco 18 ga. brad nailer and Senco 23ga. pinner. Actually I have two, one older than the other but I am not fond of either. They tend to leave dents on softwoods.
I am considering the new Max NF255F/18 brad nailer and a Grex P650 23 ga. pinner which will shoot up to a 2″ pin. I can’t imagine why a 2″ hedless pin might be useful but would like to find out.
I would like some opinions from anyone with experience with either of these tools ; good, bad or otherwise.

I have the 18 ga by Senco and the 23 by PC-the Senco 18 is I think called the Pro25...........adj. depth, two power (driver) settings-Turbo/Regular, belt hook. It has a nose tip and does not mar the finish or wood.
The 23, has no nose pc and does leave a dent if you press on the gun, no press- no dent.
That's the only opinions I have on them, enjoy them both and each in it's own application. The 18 will take up to 2-1/8", the pinner up to an inch.
I think the Grex might have a model that shoots a 23 ga BRAD, which would be handy in holding parts beyond "till the glue sets".
I have a Cadex 23 guage pinner (model # forgot) and I love it. It shoots from 3/8" up to 1-3/8". Cadex has another model that shoots up to 2" pins but I really didn't see my need for pins that big plus the extra cost so I bought the other model. I have done a lot with it without any trouble until two weeks back when a fine spring broke on the trigger. I contacted a dealer of Cadex up here in Canada and they offered to send me a FREE spring. Now that's confidence in a product.
