Will #6 2″ RH galv. nails shot from a framing nailer work for 5/8 T111 siding? Or #8 21/2″ RH galv. work? This is for a shop/garage. I would rather use these nails instead of the standard #7 siding nail since I have the framing nailer and hate to buy another gun for one time use. Thanks for any help any of you might have. russ

Who would quibble over one penny?{:-) Are they ring-shank? I would think 6p rings would surpass 7 unless you are talking about the spiral type. Even still, a few extra 6's would probably cover any difference. It looks like the 2" through 5/8" would meet the usual rules as I remember them.
I am surprised that some of the other guys have not offered their $.02 (worth much more though).
