Has anyone had a chance to try the new Bostitch nailers(the black ones)? I’m in the market for another brad nailer, 16 ga. finish nailer, and finish stapler and would like opinions from anyone who has had a chance to try them out. Thanks for your help.

These nailers which you are talking about are generic. They are also available in the same form from Craftsman so check prices and availability before you settle on Bostich. The nailers themselves are okay for light to medium duty use, but I would not reccomend them for proffesional use. I have taken several of the 16ga finish nailers and even more of the 5/8" - 2" brad guns back (I work in the hardware dept. at the Auburn, MA Sears) with problems with the driver blade jamming - so be cautious and remember to oil. Overall though, I feel that the nailers are of a pretty good quality - I own a Jamerco 5/8" - 2" brad gun (again, same as the Bostich) and have had no problems with it thus far.
*The best brad nailer on earth has got to be the Senco SLP20. You'll pay more to buy it but it will not let you down. No oil, no maintenance. I have used it about every day for woodworking for 8 years, not one single misfire or breakdown or any kind of quirk.Sorry, haven't needed to try the Bostich. Have had reasonable success with their coil roofing nailer, if that helps.Dog
*MD , I'll second that . Chuck
