Anyone see it at the JLC show?
I was watching the video about it in the Finehomebuilding.com site above your head. Pretty nifty little saw. Seems pretty much the same as the previous one except it has nice saftey features as well as the digital readout and a few other fun things. Says its due out soon. My guess is they’ll be selling the 4000 series with some good sales to make way for this 4100 series.
Not sure this video will work for everyone but just in case here it is…

Hey Andy,
I don't understand why Bosch did what they did. Maybe OSHA put some pressure on them with regards to the split blade guard. As far as the digital fence I see that busting fast in the field or getting wet.
I have the Bosch 4000 and love it for a portable, I modified it and couldn't ask for more in a portable. If I were Bosch I would have changed only the drive system. Instead of direct drive I would have done a poly V belt drive like their sliding miter saws. They run very smooth.
Nice.

Yea that's the bad thing. LOL For another hundred you can have a table saw. I love my big leather Occys' They are cumbersome to move around inside though.

Those bags look way to big unless you weigh about 250. . . honestly, I don't think I have enough circumference to fit all those bags on. My occidental bags seem crowded already.zak
