We have a gable roofed addition to our house. We want to add an exterior door on one of the non-gable walls. I’m assuming it’s a bearing wall. The addition has a cathedral ceiling.
I’ve used jacks to support a flat ceiling when doing bearing wall work, but I’m not sure how to use jacks with a sloped ceiling. Is a temporary wall with an angled top plate a better solution? Your suggestions are most welcome
