   Mike,

   I checked out some of the pics you had when you wrote about doing a deck with Trex vs IPE, nice job. That other wood that you mentioned that began with an M like Maranti or something, how does that compare to the IPE?

   Well the second floor work continues, as I wait to hear from Dick Mathews the tile guy that said maybe Jan, maybe Feb. Have you ever worked with him? I know he's doing a large job on your island last time he talked to me. So I'm being held up by the tile in the master bath and now the Swanstone counter top that I ordered twice though HD and received twice with either a crack or a warp. I ended up going to arnold lumber and ordered a Roma brand solid surface vanity top for an additional 50%, but at least I got them to make it 23" deep so that we can have some over hang on the front of the vanity. Speaking of tile and countertops, I wanted to have the guy from Tile Craft in Peace Dale do the job. I must have stopped by or called him 5 times after he came out to measure and the guy never gave me an estimate. Quite sad as I'd prefer to do as much purchasing locally as posible.

   Jill wants to put kitchen base cabinets on either side of the dormer, rather than buy furnature. I like the idea but I'm not sure how to deal with the area above the base cab. We went with the Mirage engineered flooring over the radiant. It looks nice, and I got one of the better prices from Damon's Hardware so I gave them them business. We figure to have a natural Maple cabinet to go with the natural birch flooring. What kind of cabinets would you recomend? Anything mail order?

   We took our little Caroline to Hasbro Hospital to get tubes in her ears, what a trooper she is. Soon she'll even have (her own) a room to sleep in.

   I may have a wedding to go to on the 14th of Aug, but would still like to stop by and check out the fest. What should I bring?

   Two more things before I sign off. Do you know a man by the name of Alex Amerusso? He used to live on the island, now lives in Narragansett. He used to teach in wood working at Cranston HS West, and then computers at CCRI. Any tile installers that you want to recomend in case my guy falls through?

   turtle... i just found this post... hey , i know alex.... i bought my first sheet metal brake off him.. and  a slitter, too....

   i saw his house in Narragansett when my electrician was wiring it..

   the other wood is Meranti... Liberty Cedar carries it.. so does Arnolds

   I sometimes have the same problem. Sometimes I have to go into one of the other taunton forums first then switch to breaktime.

   yup, the last couple nites, usual link to the login page and then it sends me to the taunton index.  Had to sneak in over the garden fence.  Those gardeners are as stringent as these folks.

   Could it be the Patriot Act.

   Or does the aol have something to do with it?  Mark thought that a couple months ago when this happened.  You on aol turtle?Remodeling Contractor just outside the Glass City.

   I`ve been having similar problem of late. When I come to the "log-in" page I`m sent to the Taunton main page....I click on BT Forum only to be redirected back to "log-in"....I log in and am sent back to the Taunton main page again. I keep finding new and interesting ways to finally break in.
