Going to reside a lake homeover old T111. Anybody have an opinion on Wolverine Millennium siding, the one with the flexible nailing web?

WDSM,
I've never used it but know of 2 guys that have. Both agreed that it's OK for what it is, basically a vinyl siding that even a total idiot would be able to nail on. The installers that are using nail guns and staples probably wouldn't mind it either.
If you have ever installed vinyl properly, you know that moving each panel up or down is a constant process, to either line out on the corners, getting up each side of an opening evenly for a nice match at the top, or trying to stay parallel with the soffit for the last course of siding. With this Millenium siding, you are not able to drop a course very well because of the flexible nailing area.
Personally, I have nothing against this siding, but to me, the flexible area is a disadvantage rather than an advantage.
I would recommend Certainteed Monogram. Certainteed stands behind their siding far better than other manufacturers and it's the best panel on the market.
Good luck.

*Thanks for the info. Good points. I have never done this and was thinking it would be a lot faster if you didn't have to nail just so. Monogram is my other choice. I would point out that Millennium is a 44 mil product from CertainTeed under their Wolverine line.
