I need to replace some old, flat roofs, on Forest Service lookouts.
They were constructed in the late 1950s, and early 1960s with 5 layers of hot mopped, 58# felt, over a 2X6 t&G roof deck. After 50+ years they have developed a few leaks, and now need to be replaced.
I can’t get 58# felt, and I’m not sure it is a good idea to try getting a tar heater to the sites. It is kind of dicey getting a truck with duallies to the sites, dragging a trailer up those roads isn’t anything to take lightly.
So, I’m considering other options.
I know a little about EPDM, and since I know what it is, I can google articles, and manufacturer’s sites. But, what other options are there for membrane roofs? Any recommendations?

EPDM is probably the best candidate for this application. TPO and PVC are the other membrane choices, but they can require more proprietary equipment and have a higher learning curve to no apparent gain in this application.
Thanks.
Any information on flame resistance and flamability of the products.
