I’m doing the same thing myself.
Andersen does not reccomend painting the exterior of white clad windows, however the “sandstone” colored finish can be painted. This is according to the folks at Home Depot.
BTW has any body priced the Andersen Art Glass Collection? Wow!

I saw a job where Anderson sent the wrong color metal-clad door and the contractor installed them anyway. Big Mistake. The owner flipped and Anderson sent out an electroplating company to repaint them. They fooled around for weeks before they replaced all the windows and doors. OUCH.

Anderson, "METAL'? door? I think not. Anyway Anderson terratone or sandtone can be painted, good luck

I know how stupid this sounds, but has anyone ever painted an Andersen product on the exterior? I'm looking at sldiders for a kitchen remodel and the price difference between the Andersen and Marvin is at least 40%. The only problem with the Andersen is matching the color to the existing trim colors.
*Is it a vinyl clad, aluminum clad or wood door ? Typically you get what you pay for, but I seldom see such a premium between, for the two brands. Shop a little more, it should be a 10-15% differnce at most. b Are you comparing apples to oranges?
