anybody else have a problem w/ Paslode trim nailer overshooting the nail and sticking in the throat of the gun and not retracting?
This is driving me crazy! I am getting the same results in oak or softwoods. Yes I lube the gun regularly. This is my third new gun and they all do the same thing. Help me please!

Man, our tool collection must look like twins. The blade they send with that saw isn't worth a spit anyway. When do they ever put a good blade on a saw in the box?
You don't happen to have a Hilti fetish too, do ya?"If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man." - Mark Twain
Actually that is one brand I own nothing of..hmmm might have delve into that problem..I had many hours happily ramsetting away on steel botttom track..maybe that was enough for the rest of my life.

So that's what it's called. Grabbed one of them myself. Man, that was one of those "where the heck have you been all my life?" buys. Yup. $70 for 100 foot, and oh so worth it.
Now you're gonna add one more car to that Bosch train"If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man." - Mark Twain
Now I wonder if PEX-A can be used for an air line....
Got all kinds of cars on this train but no rising suns...Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming.... WOW!!! What a Ride!

I have both a Paslode and a Senco trim nailer and I had the problem you're describing until I cleaned the heck outta my Paslode, everywhere I could think of, to get rid of all the deposits left from the combustion, adding lubricant just makes the rough deposits a little slicker. Once I cleaned it thoroughly and lightly lubricated it, the problem was gone.
Did you disassemble the Paslode of just unsnap the drive-pin guide and shoot it ( What did you clean with) up into the combustion chamber? Miami
Miami,
I never got an instruction manual for my Paslode, so I disassembled it as much as I was comfortable with, and used Hoppes Gun cleaner as a solvent in the combustion chamber (I'm not representing this to be safe for the seals, btw...was just a guess on my part). Then blew it all out with compressed air and lightly lubed it. Also cleaned the nosepiece and the drive pin area (whatever the correct term is, again no manual)... worked like a charm. Good luck!
