Patent: from idea to developing, marketing and liceneing.
This is a very hard subject to know where to begin. So I thought by posting a picture of a us patent, this maybe a good place to start.
Ground rules
If Ask:
I will not respond with any brand names.
I will not respond with any company names.
I will not respond to any technique or how something might be used.
I will respond to questions if allow about:
Patenting a product
Product developing
Marketing techniques
Liceneing a patent
Just to give you a little idea about and of my experience with this subject. Last Feb. 2001 in Atlanta Georgia at the International Builders Show. One of my product was chosen as one of the top 10 products for the building industry for this year by a competitor magazine. After six hard years of work it finally made it to market. Of all the thing I’ve ever accomplished by far this was the highlight. I can’t begin to tell you the feeling of accomplishment I had at this show while watching my product being demonstrated with approximately 25 people watching. I also have another product being sold nationally and three more that I’m working on.
I was ones ask to give a talk about liceneing a patent and bring a new product to market by the DCcapital area inventor association were I’m also a member .
My only reason for opening this subject is for the exchange of knowledge that can be free for all. And maybe to help some younger person SAVE a lot of unnecessary time wasted and money spend.
P.S.I hope every one has a very good year.
