Patio trellis bearing on existing roof

I have a client that has a patio that is surrounded on three side by the house and wants a open trellis above the pation that bears on the roof dierctly over the exterior wall which 18 inches in from the fascia, up on the existing roof. (hope this makes sense) Does anyone know of a connector ( Simpson strong tie type) that would make this a clean connection. I hate putting any type of holes in a roof but the client wants this. Any ideas?

I know of no connector made specifically for your application.
However, solar panels and to an extent-sat. tv equipment need a means of fastening. Good ones will allow for undershingle mounting of a bracket that extends down and out from the shingle and turns up to rcv. the thing being mounted. You can search that kind of equipment to get an idea or even the part if it works. The search might yield the information you can use to have brackets fab'd by someone.
Proper flashing of these kinds of brackets shouldn't be impossible.
Thanks for the idea!! Will check it out.

You're welcome
The mount will depend on your idea of that portion of the trellis that will sit in/on it.
