New construction
West coast of Florida, 1/2 mile to Gulf.
R value not a big factor.
Solar heat gain is a big factor. I will be using spectrally selective glass.
I’m not real comfortable using a vinyl clad due to high UV in this region.
Right now it’s between Pella Proline and Marvin Integrity.

Mike, I always try to steer my clients away from Pella windows. I feel that their quality has gone way down, and their prices have not. I have installed about 15 different brands of windows, and believe Marvin would probably be your better choice. But, I suggest you take a look at Hurd casements with heat mirror, I use alot of them and would certainly put them in my own home

This is really tough for someone like me who lives in Wisconsin, since Marvin's from Minnesota, and Pella's from Iowa. I think you need to look at a third choice, like Hurd (Medford, WI).

Two other good windows are Pozzi and Crestline, but I also do not like Pella for the price.
