Ihave a workshop, owner wants to install a compressor (130 PSI max) in a closet and pipe it from closet to an air outlet port in his workshop. He makes furniture, cabinets, etc and wants to use a nailgun, brad nail gun, etc.
My plumbing shop told me I can use PEX. The PEX I bought from them is rated for 160PSI so seems logical. Length of run total is about 55 ft. Did research on net and found 50/50 answers that it can be used for compressed air vs. can’t.
Anyone here have any luck using it in a similar setting? If at first you don’t succeed, try using a hammer next time…everything needs some extra persuasion from time to time. -ME

Why not just run regular air hose?
