More to follow of the inside. He’s definitely made huge progress since the last time I saw it.

Skim-coating with joint compound covers texture, renews old drywall and plaster, and leaves smooth surfaces ready to paint.

TYVEK on a 1680s home? Guess the ARB is a bit more lenient in that neck o the woods, LOL.

That was the first thing I noticed was no skip sheathing or cedar breather. I have seen this done before and the roofs were green with mold with in 2 years. Why would you use copper drip yet not allow the roof to breathe and dry out?
First course has water and ice shield then 30# felt.
The entire roof has "CEDARBREATHER" over that with custom made copper flashing that I fabricated on my brake.......so there...lol.
I know I put cedarbreather up cause I have the empty bags all over the place.
Actually in one of the pictures you can sorta see it...the CB is black as is the felt so its hard to see in the pix.
Be still breathing

Sorry I couldnot see the breather. I see guys going right on the sheathing with shakes and just shake my head especially with the cost of cedar. Also I see them doing install with galvy nails where i use ss steel ring shank. I work on the coast and have seen the galvy results.
Question with the cedar breather, when i skip sheath i spline every course with 30 lb. tar paper does that apply with the breather?
spline?
I use 30 # felt over the entire roof except where I put the water n ice shield at the eaves then the CB.My life is my passion!

Look at the picture that says "cedar roof".......you can see the Cedarbreather in that shot just above the last course I did....I don't do the entire roof at once with it cause you can't walk on it, it's so slippery and I have all my bundles at the ridge that I need to walk up to.
Thanks bro

Thats what I figgered....I`ve never done a shake roof before so I was asking as much to learn as I was about your roof in particular.

Not to pick nits, but it was not Rosanne RosannaDanna that commonly said "Nevermind".
It was that other Gilda Radner character, Emily Litella.
And of course, the absolute funniest of the Emily Litella sketches, began with her saying:
"Now what's all this fuss I hear about Presidential erections?"
Unless you're the lead dog, the view just never changes.
