Plank cathedral clg . . . strap or not?
Here’s a Q for all you NE guys that firmly believe that the only good ceiling is a strapped one.
We’ll have a cathedral ceiling on the bottom face of the roof rafters, and the finish is not to be gyprock or plaster, it is going to be done in 1×6 knot pine e&cb planking.
So, do you strap it, then run the planking parallel to the rafters? Or do you forego the strapping, and run the planks 90 to the rafters?
