Hi, I am about to start building my new roof and would like some feedback about my plans.
I’m in northern Minnesota, 60psf ground snow load.
My house is 26 feet wide and has an interior wall running all the way down the middle.
I’m thinking 2×8 rafters 16″ on centers.
If I can figure horizontal span from the 2×4 struts running 45 degrees off the interior wall, it is under 10 feet.
The other 2×4 is to stiffen up the 2×6 ceiling joists.
The pitch will be 4:12. Decked with ½” osb.
Does this look like it will be a solid roof?
Is there anything I should think about changing?

By the configuration you're showing in the sketch, you are in essence creating a truss by adding the 2x4s.

Roof loads, particularly unbalanced snow load, will likely transfer forces into your ceiling joists, which are likely to deflect from those forces. This cyclic load may affect your ceiling finish.

The 2x4s running up from the center (bearing?) wall will generate an outward thrust which may adversely affect the rafter connections to the ridge board.

Assuming this is 100% stick-built, I'd suggest up-sizing the rafters not knowing the lumber grade of 2x8 rafters .
Good point on the outward thrust. Maybe a collar tie to help secure the rafters to the ridge board. Yes the center wall is designed to be bearing.
The boards are spruce pine fir #2.
