Hello FHB friends,
Are there any plumbers on here or pros that can recommend a good plumbing guide book for DIYers? There are several options out there, but with mixed reviews… It would be nice to get a recommendation from someone on here rather than some rogue person on Amazon.com.
Thanks very much!
Cheers!

What are you trying to do? Install faucets? Sweat copper pipe? Install PEX? Clear clogged drains? Plumbing is a big world. Lots of books out there.
My favorite book to give to new homeowners is -
"Better Homes & Gardens Complete Guide To Home Repair, Mainentance and Improvement" It has plumbing, electrical and basic carpentry too.
Terrylove.com is an excellent site for plumbing questions.

Thanks Frankie,
Yes hoping to do a little of everything that you noted above (to an extent). I'm a recently new first time homebuyer, and although I'm pretty tooled up and versed in "handyman" jobs, my training is in Fine Woodworking, not plumbing. But I love to learn and do things that I can, so it would be nice to have a good encyclopedia type guide book. Been finding myself doing a lot of plumbing repairs lately. I just got the Renovation 5th Edition. It has a little of everything. I'll check out your recommendation, thanks!

There’s also the Black and Decker Complete Guide to Plumbing. I’m in the same boat mostly carpentry, but have to know and be able to do some other things. That book has really nice illustrations, photos and explanations. I learned a ton from it.
Great thanks! That was one I was checking out...
Cheers.
