I have a prospective customer with two leaky block walls,The building is set into a sloping hillside with the back wall and one end wall approximate. 32″ below grade the water is coming from under the first course of a below grade cut face cmu wall, under sized gutters/ downspouts , poor grading, and clay soil all have impact on this project.
The bid I am working on involves excavating down past the footing , pressure washing the wall, having Poly Wall applied, and installing a foundation drain system around the outside perimeter of both below grade walls, kind of like what was diagramed in this issue of FHB magazine.
The question is ,is anybody familiar with or used the sprayed on Poly wall system. I know it is more pricey that an asphalt based waterproofing but it seems to me that it would fit this application better than the asphalt sealer, or the rubber/black sheet systems I have used in the past. Because of the rough uneven face of the cut block wall.Is there any downside ? except the cost involved.
Thanks D.W.
