I have a client that wants to put in a see through woodburning fireplace. We are enclosing the pool house with Pella glass doors. One side of the fireplace will face outside to the pool. The fireplace company says we cannot install a see through fireplace due to the different pressures from inside and outside the pool house. Has anyone had any expericence in this situation? All brainiacs give me your input.
Thanks,
Tim

I think the fireplace co is just covering their rear on this. All fireplaces will have problems if the wind is blowing the wrong dirrection and a door is open.
The end users have to learn not to light a fire during certain conditions. It's not like pushing a button and having something happen. Wind and fire will allways be hard to control. That's the nature and allure of them.
The fireplace company is correct. In this case I would build "back to back" fireplaces..........separate dampers.....separate flues.
