I am building a home with an 8′ porch extending from the front of the bldg and around one side. The main roof is 12/7 and the porch roof is 12/4.Can anyone advise me how to figure the length of the rafter and the cut angle where the two roofs intersect? To further complicate matters I am using 4×8 wood beams for the main roof rafters and they will be covered with 7 3/4″ insulating panels.
