Anyone have some good websites displaying different porches? I’m not looking for Victorian monstosities, but nice, traditional photos or drawings of porches. I’m using the information to provide several alternatives to a potential customer; in our area, there are a lot of 60-80 year old houses where they rip off the old porches and replace them with very standard, if boring, pressure treated decking, posts, and spindles/rails, and they usually replace the hip roof with a gable. The customer would like to look at something a little nicer, perhaps even traditional, for their home. I seem to find nothing but “deck” plans. I’ll be stopping at the library after work today, so I’ve got that covered. Any direction would be appreciated. Thanks.

Jason, I get a lot of ideas from looking at home plan websites. Also back issues of Better Homes and gardens Building ideas always have attractive porches in them. Maybe these can be shown to your clients for ideas. DH
