I have a porch that’s failing rapidly. The two posts that secure it have rotted out of their post-base connections. The post-base connections themselves are also rested and mangled, not to mention well below the concrete slab for said patio. I need to know if I can salvage the peers or if they need to be dug out and replaced. I’m thinking I could probably build some kind of form and perhaps drill in rebar to the existing pier and pour in new concrete and a cast in place post base connection. Or do I need to get a skid steer in here and pour new piers?

You need a real footing that goes below frost line beneath that post. The post is resting on slab on grade which is not a sufficient.
